　いつものように、「箸」のビデオクリップ前後の江口さんとアットキンさんの短いトークをディクテーションしてみた。

・クリップ前
Eguchi: Stuart, you grew up in a knife, folk and spoon culture.
　But you've been here for many years.
　I suppose you often use chopsticks.
Atkin: Yes, I probably use them more than knives and folks these days.
　And I must say that they're surely the simplest but most useful implements ever invented.
E: I agree.

・クリップ後
E: Stuart, any comments?
A: Well, it was very interesting to hear that chopsticks have always been connected with the spiritual feelings of the Japanese.
　That's something that's not so easy for westerners like me to understand.
E: I see. Well, the Japanese believed that chopsticks are somehow imbued with the sprit of the user.

・クリップ前
Eguchi: Stuart, have you ever visited Katsura Rikyu?
Atkin: Unfortunately I haven't.
　It's not so easy to visit because you have to apply in advance.
　But I'm very interested in traditional Japanese architecture.
　And Katsura Rikyu is a masterpiece, so I would like to see it sometime.
E: Yes, that would be a great experience.

E: Stuart, any comments?
A: Well, the idea of designing a place dedicated to moon viewing is very unusual.
　I personally like looking on the moon too. I think it's very romantic.
　And to tell you the truth, my very first dating in Britain was on the moonlit beach.
E: Oh, how romantic! So you must understand Japanese love a moon viewing very well.
A: Oh, maybe.
　Anyway I'm sure the man who had Katsura Rikyu built was a very insensitive man.

・クリップ前
Eguchi: Well Stuart, you look as if you've been to a matsuri.
Atkin: Yes, I'm full of happiness.
E: Ah ha.
A: Sorry.
E: What are your feelings about mikoshi?
A: Well, I think they're very beautiful and unusual things.
　But I sometimes wonder why the bearers get so carried away about carrying them.
E: I think, in many festivals, groups of local people like to outperform other groups which helps to make be**** even more exciting.

・クリップ後
E: Stuart, any comments?
A: Well, I think the idea, that their mikoshi represent the shrines they come from, is very interesting.
　They each include torii gate, always **** some gates in the video, next to the chamber containing the deity.
　So they really are the miniature shrines.
　We don't have anything like a mikoshi that represents a miniature church that is carried around the streets.
E: Right, in fact a special characteristic of Japanese kami is that they can be moved around.

・クリップ前
Eguchi: There are many different types of ceramics in Japan.
　Are you interested in them?
Atkin: Yes, very much. Each famous pottery has its own particular style.
　But I think Oribe ware is really distinctive and attractive.
E: I agree.

・クリップ後
E: Stuart, do you have any thoughts on the video?
A: I think it's amazing that such an avant-garde style was developed four hundred years ago.
　It could really be regarded as one of the roots of modern art.
　The unique shapes and colors used for Oribe ware, which give the impression of having been created in a very natural way, really give you a feeling of uplift.
E: Yes, I think that's true.
A: Actually Oribe ware is not so widely known outside Japan.
　But it's so striking that I'm sure ***captivate the interest of many people when they get to know about it.

２週間の夏休みも終わり、今週から再開だ。ぼちぼちがんばろう！

・クリップ前
Eguchi: Stuart, I see your outfit perfectly matches today's theme.
Atkin: Well, like many people, I really like this deep kind of blue.
　And this kind of outfit is really cool in summer.
E: Well, you look cool.
A: Oh, thank you very much.

・クリップ後
E: Stuart, any thoughts on the video?
A: It was interesting that the use of aizome spread greatly after the sumptuary laws were issued during the Edo period.
E: So, we can say that aizome fl*** as an important element of Japanese culture as a result of such restrictions.
A: Right and finding out more about its history, I can now appreciate "Japan blue" even more.
